Please think carefully before calling this “out of hours” service. This is available for real emergencies only and illness that cannot wait until the next surgery. However most problems that have been present for more than a week are not emergencies and would be better dealt with by a doctor that knows you best. If you call when the surgery is closed, please follow the instructions on the answer phone, NHS 111 will give advice or make a home visit.
Evergreen surgery, N9 walk- in –centre is open 8am – 8pm weekends only and bank holidays.
Urgent Problems and Extended Access Services
If it can not possibly wait, call as soon as the surgery opens. Emergency problems will be dealt with by the Doctors. The priority is given to people who feel really ill.
Alternatively, for out of hours services you can call the practice during surgery hours and we can make an extended hours appointment for you. . You can also call 111 or in the case of an emergency dial 999
Note that the surgery is not a casualty department and there is no obligation to see anyone who could reasonably be seen with an appointment at a following surgery.
These are only patients who are immobile through ill health please call before 10am wherever possible as this helps plan the day efficiently.
Please try not to call for general enquiries early in the morning, as this is normally the busiest time in the reception area.
Test results are between 11:30am-3:00pm.

We value Doctor-Patient relationship and would encourage you to see your doctor if you have any concerns with regard to your treatment.
We have a nominated Complaints Manager who deals with all complaints. We hope to settle these to your satisfaction but if not then would inform you to whom you may complain further.
Practice Nurse and Services
An appointment booked in advance is required in order to see our practice nurse who is qualified to do basic medical screening, Asthma and Diabetes checks, Blood pressure measurement, contraceptive advice, cervical smear, dressing, injections, ear syringing, child and adult immunisations, post natal checks, travel vaccinations and other nursing procedures.
It is essential the you keep your appointment for regular cervical smear as these can detect cancer at a very early and curable stage.
